BLM Mustang Valentine

Valentine, who we more often refer to as Valley, was adopted from the Bureau of Land Management by one of Never Forgotten Ranch's founders, and is now a permanent resident who helps educate others about mustangs.

Valley was just a baby when she was rounded up by the BLM in Oregon. She was one of a group of yearlings who were made available for young trainers to choose from for a youth training competition, but despite her inquisitive nature around humans, she was not chosen to compete. So she ended up staying in the BLM holding pens for several years before being adopted and coming to Never Forgotten Ranch.

In the beginning, Valentine was curious but frightened, but it did not take long at all for her to realize that people aren't so bad. And once that clicked with her and she accepted us as part of her herd, she blossomed into one of the most willing and devoted mustangs we've worked with! The bond Valley has with her adopter is true and unbreakable, and we are so fortunate to have her here to represent the friendship and devotion that can be experienced by adopting a North American Mustang!
