Bumblebee came to us from one of the rural shelters we work with in New Mexico, after being found as a stray. She was in pretty rough shape, underweight and having torn her neck open pretty badly. Thankfully she healed up beautifully, has put on some much-needed weight, and blossomed into an absolutely glorious girl!
We believe Bumblebee to likely be a Great Pyrenees mix, probably around 2 to 3 years old. We do not know what she is mixed with, and we are very careful about recommending mixes as livestock guardians, but her LGD instincts are in full force. In fact, she is always by the sides of Titan and Big Tex, our two very serious Akbash livestock guardians, whenever they feel the need to protect. That being said, when she is not taking care of potential threats, she is the sweetest, silliest, lovebug goofball you'll ever meet! She loves snuggles and pets, and has the cutest habit of rolling around in the woods where there are small trees and playing with the swaying branches! She gets along with other dogs beautifully, and adores people.
Bumblebee is available for adoption, and her adoption fee is $250. If adopted with a working partner (we have several to suggest), the combined fee for the pair will be $350. Please let us know if you'd like to meet this smart, loving, and hard-working girl, to see if she might be a good fit for your family and farm!
